The Pittsburgh Penguins are an excellent hockey club with many skilled players, but some other teams do not have many skilled players and this can affect the teams performance and money making abilities. When teams have skilled players, a lot more merchandise can be sold to the fans. An example is team jerseys. This young player draws in millions of dollars, whether people come to watch him live or they watch him on television. Also, since he is one of the best players in the NHL, he is the reason of why many sponsors are giving the Pittsburgh Penguins money. If a club has no all-stars, sponsors will feel that not as many people will watch them and therefore their business won’t get recognized. So, if teams want to be successful with money, having all-stars on their team like the Pittsburgh Penguins is what needs to be done.
